A few years ago, I started a personal tradition of spending my birthday in nature. I’d take a few days to reflect, re-center, and ground myself. This year, a day before my birthday, things didn’t go as planned. My quiet retreat outdoors didn’t happen, and instead I found myself at home. Still, I have a few hours left, so maybe nature will find me yet.

At first, I felt a pang of disappointment. I longed for the solitude that tradition gave me. But then I realized I could honor it in a different way. So here I am, writing. Doing something I’ve always loved, and today it feels like the best gift I can give myself.
When I first imagined creating this blog, I didn’t want it to feel like just another website. I wanted it to feel like walking into my living room: a space that is warm, open, and honest. A place where I can share ideas, stories, and reflections that matter to me.
Here’s what you can expect to find here:
- My writing: creative pieces, reflections, and little stories from everyday life. Maybe even parts of my novel—it’s been a long time coming.
- Insights from my professional world: not just what I do, but also what I notice about careers, growth, and navigating the workplace as a young professional.
- A glimpse into who I am: the contradictions, passions, and lessons I’m still learning.
I’ve always believed that our personal and professional lives are not two separate worlds. They overlap. The way we live shapes how we show up at work, and the way we work shapes the lives we create outside of it. This blog is my way of exploring that overlap.

Over the past decade of self-discovery, I’ve often circled back to one question: “Why?” Why do I wake up in the morning? Why do I do the things I do? Why have I chosen this path? These questions are not always comfortable, but I’ve learned that self-awareness grows when we ask them with intention.
To me, one of the most courageous things we can do is learn who we really are: to look inward, face the hidden parts, and embrace even the darkest corners.
That is the journey I’m on, bringing together my personal values and professional aspirations and grounding them in reality.
If you are also navigating self-discovery or self-love, figuring out career paths, or maybe just curious about who I am beyond my résumé, I hope you find something here that feels real, relatable, and maybe even inspiring.

So here’s to stories, growth, and the messy, beautiful process of figuring things out.
